Is it the beans?

It is really funny what parents think of when a kid misses a day without poop.Well, in our case,not just a day but two.Shiela did not sleep deeply the other night maybe because of some tummy problems which I configured when she asked me to help her with "pooping".They way she say it is pretty amazing because aside from the pointing of the bump she also say "mama,poo",which you can dearly understand that something is going to happen.

The potty training I did is now working.It's different from smelling something before you will know that she poop.

But for two days now,Shiela couldn't stop pooping!That's after I gave her beans that I cooked for dinner.Oh my,can you see the problem now?

Those are the words you'll hear from Shiela after playing some funny audibles at YM.I could do nothing when she's around.When she sees me on the table with the computer she will then say UP UP UP(cuddle),then muahhhhh...(that big lips audible with such funny muahhhh is her fav),when I close the window that's when MORE MORE MORE comes.

She takes over in everything that makes me feel frustrated some times especially when I am doing something important.I just have to give up and give her some attention,she's the reason why I stayed home.That is to take good care of her and not to chat or blog.Blogging came just when she was already 10 months old.I know my priorities.


Imagine how heavy her hands are to slap the keyboard.Sometimes she sits on it when she needs a cuddle,huh!

The terrible twos

It's not only once or twice that Shiela pinched,kicked and slapped me.That's when she's doing something that we adult know that it isn't good.As they've said,children don't know danger,so be it.But they of course know what they're doing.Shiela's unacceptable attitude has been blamed to me by her father.It's because he said,I am spoiling her.That I shouldn't get too close to her whenever she acts funny or that I shouldn't be too giving.

He could be right at some point but there are just two options here.It's either you stop her through a fight or you go called flight!You will feel like a loser if you just go,better understand her wish.I know parents of toddler understand what I am saying.She used to be a very good baby since birth.I guess because today,she knows what she wants and she talks too.

Loving her POOH bottle

We succeeded weaning Shiela from my breasts to a beaker.But my problem is during night feeds that she has to get up completely to drink the milk as the beaker drips so fast that she's afraid she can't handle the flow.So we decided to buy her the POOH feeding bottle with a teat.But it seems that Shiela is loving it that she is forgetting to ask for my breasts and that she demands for the milk in a bottle now.Everytime I give her the milk she says,hehey as hurray.Pooh's arms were raised as printed on the bottle,it's me who told her that pooh was saying hurry because he's happy.She picks up what I said easily.

At the moment,she can only manage up to 5fl.ozs.I guess that's the reason why she's looks really small for her age though people say that she's big.I am happy anyway because her size makes her more energetic and active.Thanks GOD!

Ella enchanted!

The night before our wedding...

She's my cousin's daughter Ella Malise.She's Shady's favorite when he was there because of all the kids around,it was only her who talked to Shady and called him "Kuya Shadrack".She also speaks with Shady in English with a little help from her father.I really miss her because I can see some of her attitude in Shiela.She's only 2 years old here but she's just really smart.We asked her to pose and she did it just how we like her to do.

Baby gifts

One of the things I love is the generosity of the people here when I gave birth to Shiela.The first day we arrived home from the hospital was really overwhelming because we received visits from friends,with them are the baby gifts for our little angel. I was really happy and found out that it's their way of welcoming a new born baby until we adapted it gradually.

We also did this thing when few friends announce the birth of their family member. It’s indeed a rewarding experience being able to do things that make people happy.

We should be having our new angel January of next year,but I guessed it's not possible now.Im so sorry for her/him.I supposed s/he understands that sometimes,I am in doubt about my situation.The little big sister needs full attention from Mom and demands nursing almost every minute.S/he gave up,stops to breath and left us 26th of June at aroud 10pm.Huhu,but what can we do?I know that there are still millions of chances to conceive.I am still in my child bearing age.But of course,I need to let this stage of Shiela pass.Hopefully when she is big enough to understand that Mom is having a baby.

The times I asked her where's the baby,inspite of teaching her that the baby is in MOm's tummy,she will still points herself as the baby and says "I"...as I am the baby...hmmm!

Shiela is fond of singing with her CD's like baa baa black sheep and I am glad that I found children's song at thesimsonstage.So, for the sake a boring day,we spent singing some of the children's song and I managed to record this one with less disturbances.She sang alone,bravo littel girl!

Wonder Pets

Mengmeng,Tak & Leny...the Wonder Pets.That's the new program that interests Shiela now.They made her dance while watching,that amazed me too.The program runs daily every 02:45PM(Irish time)on Nick Junior.The team is composed of a guinea pig,a little duck and a little turtle which is animated to attract not only the little audiences but adults like me.

When my friend Jane was here, she was astounded by the program too.The cuteness of the accents of the kids who do the dubbing is really marvelous.Anyway, I guess all kids do that especially if they're on a learning stage.Wonder pets are super heroes that save animals in trouble.A great program to watch for your kids.

Does it fit?

We really have fun last night.Shady put his sun glasses in his back pack when Shiela was playing with it.She found that glasses interesting maybe so she decided to take it out.It was then that I decided to wear it to her and it looked really good.Here are the photos;




I am glad,at least she hasn't Mama's nose that no glass will fit in,it will slide in no time.Whew...pislat!She's ready for summer,hikhik.

Shiela's wonderful break..

Below are the videos from our weekend getaway.It was only for a night,yes just one night but it has been my word of mouth,what a shame really.But anyway, I was very happy.At least we go out the house and enjoyed a luxury living even for a day.We arrived their at around 5pm.With the dizziness we felt,we decided to dunk ourselves in a warm water in a tub.All of us of course.The tub was big enough for a family to enjoy.It feels like a pool.

Mamahood,pwerte!

We spent time chasing Shiela and stopping her to fix something like her shoes is a problem.Just like this photo below.I have been noticing that when Shiela wants something,she should get it or else she will throw herself.Lucky that she doesn't hurt herself intently.

Right now,she wants independence.I can really see the difference between a baby
and a toddler.We are close to the "terrible twos" stage.I am afraid our tantrums collide,huh!

Breastfeeding and it's benefits...

Who doesn't know some of the benefits of breastfeeding?I was determined even before I attended prenatal classes and encouraged by some doctors and nurses to breastfeed Shiela.

Today,as I am sitting here,I thought maybe it's time to wean Shiela.The Daddy has been asking long before to wean her but I felt it will only be a waste.I got too much milk ever since the first day.I look sexy by the way if the both breasts are full,naks.But I am afraid that when weaning time comes and it's a success,these will flatter than pancakes.Whew,it's for Shiela anyway.I don't want to unfair to my future children,I still intend to breastfeed them for life.

One more benefits? Is when you are tired and can't get up from the seat to prepare it.Blogging and breastfeeding all at once.

Look at what a big girl can do!

Our Shiela is a big girl now.We used to put her on her high-chair when feeding but now no more.Whenever she's sitting there she'll do everything to unbuckle herself which is dangerous.Every after eating is our turn to eat,and can you guess what she does?She always wants to join us but Shady has to distruct her because we are limiting her from taking salted foods.Shady gave her her bike and the box so that she can entertain herself and the bed so that we dont need to put her to the room when she feels asleep.

Okay just look and see what's behind her.These photos were taken when she's eating.She's very smart to use the right hand and to scoop the food from her bowl.The pink spoon that comes with that pink bowl was missing when we went out one day with the pink beaker,oho she's really a girl.

Oh you see now,she doesn't need help anymore.

She doesn't want to wear a bib too.

Hoho,my little girl sometimes is really a good girl.But of course there tantrums are there.I even got mine,shhhhhh.

Total negligence...

The issue of moving houses doesn't only affect your environment but with some community services you are into too.We lived before in Dublin 4 where most of the embassies are found,we are living few steps from American embassy,Health Clinic,Church and Shops.I am used with waking up late in the morning ever since I came here,most especially when I was pregnant that even if I just got up from bed Shady will still want me to have a nap and that's until now that Shiela is here.This is the reason that I always miss Nurse's clinic appointments in the morning.I hate to get up early,I should have a full sleep to make my day complete.The clinic only runs every Tuesday from 10-11:30AM.

I only realize how this issue is totally neglected.I got a call from the Nurse asking me if Shiela got her 7 month's full medical check-up,and that I should do it before she reaches a year old so that any concerns with her developments mental and physical will immediately be intervened.I tried to see if there is a nearest clinic around and I found one,they refer me to a doctor to do the check-up and will be given an appointment which will be posted via mail but I got nothing until now.I went back there today,unfortunately I forgot that this clinic only operates til midday on Wednesdays.I was wondering why there were no kids around,that's why!We came there aroud 3pm already.GUShhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...

Birthday Videos...

Hear my annoying voice on
the camera...very annoying I am telling yoU!

Part of the videos that has been cut into bits of pieces because the camera man(Shady) was busy too.We're late actually that day because we scheduled the party at 30 passed 2 but 5 minutes passed still we are not completely ready.Shady was still dressing so as SIL when the first set of visitors started to pop in.I don't know who's to blame because I have done all my possible best.

The blowing of the candle wasn't taken even.That was the highlight of the day...grrrh.I was shaking because I don't know how to start and how to get all the things sorted.BUT as I've said,Prudence was my helping hand who came at the right time(when I needed it most).

I'm a proud Mom please don't blame me for saying so.Shiela is so pretty for me especially in these photos.This is the revision of the baptism photos as we did not find time to get her a stunning one and yet she wasn't focused but at least she managed to give us a wonderful smile.

I was afraid the she might fall from the table as we left here there.You can see my arms with the first shoot even.She was a bit funny after some shots because she felt intimidated.Oh well,let these photos tell you.

Working with Shiela

The birthday party went successfully but let me show you the preparations hours before time.I got a hand from sister in law and I can say I am lucky that she's there because aside from being a cook,she too was the babysitter.She also helped with the serving of course.I can not say I am not lucky to have her, so as my family?

Working with a baby didn't stopped us.As Shiela obviously was tired from watching TV she wanted us to carry her but we were all busy.So guess what the Aunt has done!

I was afraid that the towel could slip off

My feelings these times were unexplainable because I didn't expect her to help in anyway.She is alone and she got anywhere to go but to spent her Christmas,Shiela's Birthday and New year with us.Isn't it amazing?I felt like I was with my family back home.

What else can a prisoner do?

As soon as the door opens, Shiela will do all the possible best she can to go out before I stopped her.I don't like her to go out because she isn't walking yet and will only end up with stubborn dirt attached to her trousers.But,that video there happened when I was washing and was trying to get her in and I realized that it will be good to take her a video.This will serve her as an evidence on how active she is when she'll be a 'big girl'.I am sure she'll be happy when time comes.

There are lots of things to come on her way,I just hope the camera will always be there to capture moments like these.

Out and about with Shiela

We took these photos so that we can have a nice one to put for the personalized invitation card for her birhday party.Out and about with Shiela hasn't difference at all.We kept on asking her to look at the camera yet she keeps on joking.These are just some of her reactions.
