Shave and be happy!

Oh my, why does unwanted hair grows quicker? I would have love plenty of hair on my head and not on the armpit and somewhere else. I don’t wax and have not tried waxing, obviously I am scared! And my armpit has to be cleaned all the time, so I shave. If you could relate how irritating it is a day after you shaved then you will definitely be mad looking for shaving products that make us all happy. Plucking takes time. A mother of two would not get 5 minutes to sit down during the day and even at night. Also, it is very difficult. I tried those Nair stuff that kills the roots, but the smell is too much. It also scares me how it affects the skin. I hope I could afford a laser hair removal.

Tomato and prawn pasta

One of the easiet meals that I can prepare for the family that we love to bits. The husband loves pasta and so are the girls. Add prawns to it and it is heaven for us all. I just needed to look out for the healthy alternative and I am sure that using double cream would mean FAT. I made a little twist to the usual recipe. We also are looking for ways to save so I don’t have to put everything in it. A ball mozarella cheeze will not cost a fortune but that doesn’t mean that I have to run to the supermarket in case I don’t have it. Sometimes it happens that though you list all the engredients that you need for a dish, you still think that maybe we don’t need this and that at all. So I left parmesan cheese out (expensive really!) and mozarella and a bit of leeks. I chose mixed vegetables and a little tomato as it makes the sauce sour.

Goodness, why do I have headache sometimes when I think what dinner to prepare? It is just the matter of planning ahead of time I guess. My family loves my cooking (thank God) that means I have to work hard to please them and save money at the same time.

Investment that goes a long way

When is the right time to invest? And what it is that stands out? Every business has its downfall. Considering that today is not the time for a trial and error method, would you not wish to predict the future? Would it not be great if we could see through it? One product that I think is to last is gold. The value would not depreciate. And if you are to buy gold coins the value could double up in the future. It is something that won’t get out of trend.

Easter mug

I am loving my new kitkat mug that my friend gave on Monday. I have plenty more but the red color appeals more to me at this stage. I remember buying chocolate eggs with free mugs inside last year, kept 3 and hand in one to someone.

It is such a good feeling when you receive special gifts from friends. Especially when you least expected it. We didn’t get easter eggs for girls this year but still they got more from friends. The spirit of easter brings us closer to our friends. I thought Christmas is the only time that we get presents though we do not give presents to others. Talk about tight in our budget :( . We got an Easter hamper from our dear friends too, most of them chocolates and groceries that could feed the family for a week or more. As I have said, we did not buy our own chocolates, I am trying to avoid the temptation to sweets but since they are here, the girls can only get them as a reward they are good.

Sexy lingerie

Not only sexy but very sexy lingerie! If you are looking for one that enhances your looks or something that you think will spice your evening with your partner, then look no further. There are plenty of choices to make online and if you’re in doubt whether your man will love it or not, why not try to shop together? It is in the comfort of your own home and no one else tells you what not to do.

I remember the time when I want to shop for a lingerie with my girls. I didn’t know that the shop does not allow kids in some part of the store. It was a bit of a shock when someone hurriedly came to me and said, “Sorry Ma’am, children are not allowed in this area!”. It was understandable on my part as they have displays that wasn’t for kids anyway. I told my husband about it and since then I have not tried to shop again. It was my husband who introduced me that shop when I just arrived here after giving me a set that I love and would not want to destroy it so it remains in the closet.

A new pushchair!

We need to get plenty of stuff for our little darling. Since we are having a little boy soon, the pink ones have to go. That includes the pink stroller. We previously have a red buggy but because of age, we decided that we need a new one since it’s been used for two children already. The second child would not be using a buggy, hopefully. If not then we would probably look for bumbleride indie twin to make our movement easier. Summer would mean that we have to keep fit and active. It would be useful when dropping off and picking the little pupil at school too.

There are plenty more to consider. The carseat is already left out with the new designs and convenient sets that are in the market now. We got it in 2006 and has also served its purpose.I know it is a big bill that we going to face, but since we decide to get another one, we should not whine.

Easter Sunday

As the weather didn’t lool promising, still is now, we decided not to go out on Easter Sunday. Of course, that was after we’ve been from church. Why is it that when the weather is bad, everything seems boring? Looking outside now, which is currently raining, I think we should just sleep the rest of the day. We actually plan to go out to a shopping center where heating is always on. I also think that girls really need to go out for a change. I don’t think that the Dad feels how the girls are feeling when stuck at home. If you are used to just being at home and be contented by just watching TV and sleep, it would not make a difference to you no matter how bad the weather looks or feel like. That is men in general I think. Or maybe some.

Easter Sunday would have been a great day to celebrate. Egg hunting or window shopping would have been the best way to keep the little minds active rather than bugging me all the time at home. Which I think gave me a lot of headache. I don’t know how this Sunday’s weather would be but I do hope it would be sunny so we can finally go play at the park.

POS for retail shops

Gone were the old days where we used to shop and wait for the teller to finish with the calculation of the items bought manually. I had had a small shop at home, just before I flew here. Though small, it did serve the little needs of my neighbor and family. Not everybody is willing to pay a fare to go to the city just for a pinch of salt or sweets as rewards to their well behaved kids.

Going to the city to shop for items in a wholesale store could take the whole day. Not only because we live afar but as I have said, they did the calculation manually. They were a bit fast though but if that compared to nowadays where Retail POS System is available, it would have been easy.

Good Friday!

The environment that I have here is the opposite to when I was growing up til the day I fled here. Good Friday should have been solemn as we celebrate Jesus’ dying on the cross to save us from our sins. There was American Idol tonight, if this was home, all the local shows should have been off air. Most people that I’ve seen today at the Zoo are enjoying their day, just what we did too. Most friends from church as also out for their Easter holiday, meeting friends and family from afar.

We would have gone out of the country if I were to choose. I would love my girls to experienced what Holy Week is like in the Philippines.

Just when you thought that summer is here!

We got good temperature for 5 days, with at least 18 deg celsuis when the little pupil was in school. We thought we gonna wait until the Easter break so we will enjoy being at the park from morning til afternoon. But nope! The weather turned to worst. It instead started raining on our first day of holidays, with slight snow. We also had planned to meet with an elderly from church at the zoo, probably a day out for the family too but it was cancelled due to bad weather. We really thought that summer is finally here. I guess we have spoken too soon!
