Is it time for the sunglasses to come out of the closet?

The morning started very warm and the sun shone up. It felt that finally the warmer days are here and the sunglasses will finally be in use. I got my old one that I used for two years broken so I would now have the reason to buy the Ray Ban Aviator that I have an eye on. The husband is not so convinced about it before.

However, it suddenly went gloomy outside as I am typing this. The weather truly is unpredictable. But I am loving it as it doesn’t go dark as early as 4PM. The surrounding is slowly adjusting for Spring to come. The big girls mentioned about Spring and it should have started by the 1st of Febraury as they were taught in school. It did correspond to the Saint to whom their school is named after. Let’s hope so girls, I said. Febraury is nearing to its end anyway. We’ll see what March has to offer.

Pancake Tuesday

And because it’s Pancake Tuesday, we started our day with pancakes! The family is not into cereals, I think breakfast is not all that appetizing and I always have trouble offering something to our pupil before heading for school. Pancake with syrup and a little drizzle of lemon juice is yummy, the big girl prefers with with olive spread. If only pancake does not take time, I would prepare it every now and then. Only the Dad is into breakfast cereal and sometimes toast would be the most favourable choice for the girls.

The shops are offering pancake mix today up to half price. The ought to sell them and so are the ready made pancakes there. I prefer to prepared mine at home but I do love the taste of the commercial alternative.

Cufflink designs

Do you need new cufflinks? Then check plenty of designs of cufflinks from cufflink depot. If we were to go out on Valentines night, the heart shaped cufflink would have suited. But I think the husband is right. We couldn’t save a penny from his montly salary, so expensive night outs is out of the picture. The thing is we can cook at home, though I sometime feel that I should have a rest and be pampered. Dining out would just be so easy, especially in a family friendly restaurant that would be able to entertain the girls.

I guess that will only happen once we are well enough to afford a dine out. And dining out should be in a restaurant that we’ve never been before.

Public or Private

This would be in relation about life offline. As many would like to share their life events and happenings, happy and sad, I would like to keep some of it private. Private in the sense that not all my friends should know what is going on with our life as a family. As husband and wife, we do have arguments. And not all those arguments is known even to my close friends. It is normal to have misunderstanding at times. However, others would not see it that way. Some are very happy to publicize everything about them through the social networking site like Facebook or Twitter.

I am not completely private though. I have many friends that are scattered all over the world and keeping in touch with them online keeps me sane. How about you? Do you think that everything that is happening around you should be posted on your Facebook’s wall? Or must you twit it?

Party foods

I cannot wait for summer because I miss barbeque. I also miss invitations to parks with friends where we could have shared meal, barbeque won’t be missed, of course. Summer also has lots of parties to attend; steaks, burgers and hotdogs are part of it. We also have an annual barbeque invitation to our friend’s house and fresh prepared foods are so scrumptious. It is from them that we learned tailgating. I cannot imagine that I could prepare hotdogs in buns myself with fresh ingredients, rather than buying them in stalls. Only that there is a slight difference with taste. However, I would not compromise freshness from that aspect.

I do look forward to the warmer temperature as well.

How’s your Valentines Day?

A friend in one of the networking sites complain about posts that involved Valentines Day! That almost all his friends’ walls are talking about Valentines Day but none of them, that includes me, greeted him. He’s far from his family alright! And I am sure it is difficult and I understnad how he feels each time special days like Valentines come as his wife and kids are like thousands of miles away.So I am sure his Valentines Day would not be complete, at least the internet will fill a little from that gap.

I am also assured that those who celebrated their heart’s day are 100% happy. I am happy as we are complete today, the husband is off work and got to spend his day with us. We went out a little for dinner and come home fulfilled. I hope everyone did feel loved today.

If you are looking for a variety of Valentines day present for your love ones, try flud watches. They have plenty of styles to choose from that will fit both men and women. Flowers and chocolates are the first choice,of course. But they won’t last, do they? For me, a long lasting present would always remind me of a special day. I once been given a big foil balloon, it deflated after a couple of days. Thankfully, the picture is there to help me remember how thoughtful my husband was that day, he still is!

Practice routine

And I am doing it strictly. I thought it is difficult to send little girls to bed especially when I am busy. As a full time Mum, I have put aside some things that need to be done and focus only on attending my girls’ need. So to have everything in order, I will send the little one for her nap in the afternoon before going to pick the big sister in school. The Dad is in most of the days as he’s on a night shift, this way, both won’t be disturb and I also have an easy going trip to school.

I should have done this before. Also the night duties are done before 9 o’clock. It is down to the grown ups after all. I have been so lazy.

We arm ourselves, the weather is bitterly cold!

And it is getting colder than ever! It is said that it is going to be on negative this week, with posibility of thick snow on the way. We didn’t get it in the early winter, I thought we escaped from it. As part of our morning routine before going to school, we put on thick clothing as it is freezing cold. Despite of the fact that the car has heaters on while driving, a few minutes of waiting for the teacher to collect the class is enough to make us shiver. So I pity those who commute. It works the same way with private transport as they have to wait for the bus. With motorcycle riders, heated motorcycle clothing is available, water proof and wind proof, of course! The danger there is when the road is icy. No one is safe. We are actually bracing for the next couple of days.

I have been trying to fix my profile on facebook but it’s been teasing me! The error that keeps coming is frustrating because I cannot leave my profile in this way. I have uploaded new photos and would like to add changes to them but the system would not allow me. Some friends have seen the photos that I thought the system said could not be published, that’s silly!

Would you spend more than enough time if you were me?
