It's never too late to greet you a Happy Christmas dears,its still 41 minutes pass 9 in the evening here,24th of December 2007.If I am only in the Philippines I would have been busy preparing myself for the midnight mass while others are preparing foods for the Noche Buena.I really miss the moments and the spirit of Christmas there.Friends will pass just infront of our door calling me,"tana Yang,nibagting na ang simbahan"(Come on Ritchelle,let's go as the bell's ringing).

Firecrakers are alive just as New Year's,there are friends that came from a long journey just to meet up with some members of the family and some visitors from every angle of the planet.Philippines' Christmas can't be compared to anything else's.Famous figures who settled in US and actors like Aga Muclach once said,"Nothing can beat a Pinoy's pasko".I am now feeling the words and message.I thought it would be happier having a white Christmas abroad and being able to feel the cold in here but hmmm,I guess you can as well feel it if you are from Pinas.

We are going for a meeting

These photos were taken when Shiela was a week old.We were all excited to show Shiela to my family back home that's why most of the time we are taking pictures.This wil help too in keeping them up to date.

The time she was born everybody was anticipating of what would her features be,there have been thoughts that she will be darker because of her daddy but she comes out well mix,prettier than her MOm,huh.She has straight bushy hair as you can see and a very beautiful texture of skin.I dont know if it because of my diet that time because everything I ate is according to what we planned.There is because a folklore that when you eat too much nuts or raw rice your baby will come out filled with white that as I know vernix caseosa that is just normal to babies.She came out really clean.We only have a bit probem that time because of the water that was broken early in the morning and I only admitted myself later in the afternoon.

Well,you judge to what you see here,do we look similar to each other?Hmmm...

Care home

All of us are going to become old, it may take years but planning ahead of time is the best preparation we can all do. We can plan for our care and those who are going to take care of our needs. That’s why a care home is a good option because we do not know that someday our own families will be busy taking care of their own families too. They were joking and laughing at her because she tended to go back to her childhood memories. She doesn’t even know us. Her children like my mother was busy taking care of us so not all the time she was there to help, the same with the rest. I don’t want to put myself in her shoes, I know medical professionals especially caregivers were trained to understand the vulnerability of elderly especially with Alzheimer’s patients. Since it has no known caused and maybe hereditary, there is a percentage that I can get too.

How Should You Spend the Holidays?

Hmmmm,I think so.Every year while I was still in Manila everything was busy.There should always be a celebration everytime there is an occasion.And having social gatherings is what I hate most especially that only me and my Aunt there is preparing.I always felt exhausted after the party is over.Sometime it will take me the next day fixing everything.I dont care if I dont sleep as long as I am done.It's good to sleep knowing that nothing is pending.

Shady's new phone

We swear not to spend money anymore after we exhausted the last coin we have.Long before,Shady said he will never change his phone,he doesn't need any other things anymore and what we need as a necessity is what we only have to get.But,I kept on insisting recently to change my network to his network because through it we can save credits.He calls me frequenty whenever I am out with Shiela to check.Calling from his network to my network cost a lot.

Recently his network Vodafone offers free weekend call only to other vodafone customers.And he can also top up some other vodafone users using his credit('pasalod in pinas').I have said I have to changed right away whether you like it or not.But the problem,his sister in Cameroon can only contact us through my network Meteor because ever since they'd been having trouble contacting Shady on his number.So what I thought,maybe I can get a phone that will only be for the vodafone and the Meteor remains Meteor.When we went out last Sunday,I entered the phone shop.He said Mom,please no.We dont need a phone.I am hardheaded you know.I went in straight away and checked what I can get.Then I thought,he changed his mind,he followed me with Shiela and said..."Mom,do you want to get a phone for me?"..toink!

So funny.I have said jokingly,what do you want love?I think love we can get this NOkia 6070.Then he sai,no that doesn't look cool.I love that Nokia because it looks simple and nice.He then move to the other side where he saw Nokia Nseries that could take me again years to blog...whoaaaaaaa.I have said,ok you can get it,that will be my present to you.Hmmm,he's loving his new phone now.He takes it to work and just decided to never mind his old phone.

A buntis friend Anne has given this to me the other day and it's only today that I find time to post it.I was actually not doing anything but to look at my blogs thinking of ways on how to improve my readership.I think people who visited me here dont want to visit back because they dont find this interesting at all.Now that I got a page rank of 0 on my other blog that I think has a good traffic because that was the very first blog I created 4 months ago,I think this blogging career that I got all of a sudden disappears.

I really enjoy celebrating Christmas because of the tradition.I love going to mass at 4:30am.It's full of spirit that your day starts praising GOD.I have I think 3 consecutive years complete, the nine mornings mass is the most highlight of the season.I love the noche buena of course and the party.I seldom received gifts that's why it's completely fine for me if I got nothing.

But since last year,when I came here we celebrated the Christmas differently.There wasn't morning masses nor did Shady allow me to go for the midnight mass or prepared for noche Buena.We went to a friend's house and go home straight to sleep.Shady took me to his church and I didn't able to go to Catholic.And I feel it will be the same this year again.Hmm...

oh well,she will learn.When she'll be teenager she will do the rest of the cleaning and arranging while MOm is there to guide.

This was when we got that maternity dress below(previous entry).It was taken in Stephen's Green Shopping center.The background looks brilliant that's why I want to post this here just to show you.

I was 5 months pregnant here(small but terrible),hmmm.I never thought that I was able to give birth to Shiela?It seemed so easy for me.I have Shady beside me who supported me all the way.I am blessed,so do you.I know husbands are made for wives to lean on.Everything went successfully and now we're here with Shiela who is very active.Every nappy changing Shady is having trouble because she is running from every angle.Even while bathing you can not keep her still,she wants to bathe herself.Oh well,I know yours too.

Maternity wear!

This is the only maternity dress I got when I was pregnant.The reason was,I can't wear dresses outside due to cold and i hate wearing girl y stuffs.I am into casual,you can see me wearing jeans or slacks and tops.The time I got this and the reason why because Shady wants me to wear something that will define me as a woman.How can I ever wear skirts when I have over thousands of scars running round my legs?You can let me wear bikinis if I have the drive just like the swimming we did about 3 years ago with my care giving classmates.It was all for fun and I can do that in front of my friends alone!And friends whom I knew for long that I know will not underestimate me.It's all for fun.
There was one time too that I wore shorts.We went swimming with Anne around that time,it was part of our outing.Caregivers love picnic...we were happy though I have the feelings that someone or people might be looking at me and think if I am okay!...

Hmmmm,I almost forgot! I wore swimsuit,right!I wore swimsuit on my 8th month of pregnancy.I was with Shady and though there were people around the pool,i was under the water the whole time,i got towel to cover once I'm out.And besides, people were busy,they didn't noticed me....thank GOD!

Oh well,I can not do something about my scars.They will stay here for the rest of my life!
