All of us are going to become old, it may take years but planning ahead of time is the best preparation we can all do. We can plan for our care and those who are going to take care of our needs. That’s why a care home is a good option because we do not know that someday our own families will be busy taking care of their own families too. Better caring is of one the care homes who has dedicated staffs who will answer to all our crucial needs. I myself when I get into that point prefer to be cared by them. I don’t like a situation where my future children will be tied up because of their responsibility towards me.

It happened already with my late grandmother. She suffered from an Alzheimer’s disease that people find it hard to understand. They were joking and laughing at her because she tended to go back to her childhood memories. She doesn’t even know us. Her children like my mother was busy taking care of us so not all the time she was there to help, the same with the rest. I don’t want to put myself in her shoes, I know medical professionals especially caregivers were trained to understand the vulnerability of elderly especially with Alzheimer’s patients. Since it has no known caused and maybe hereditary, there is a percentage that I can get too.
